Embattled owner, Glenn Defense Marine Asia has seen another of its vessels arrested in Singapore, according to industry reports. The 3,000-dwt tanker Glenn Bataan (built 1982) was arrested in Singapore by lawyers representing the legal firm Rajah & Tann.
This is the second Glenn vessel under arrest in the port after the 197-gt tug Glenn Gladiator (built 2005) was arrested earlier this year. The Gladiator was allegedly arrested after missing payments to bunker supplier Transocean Oil.
Glenn has become the centre of a high profile bribery scandal involving the United States Navy.
